MEET THE DOCTORS 

Dr Nuger, Dr Sircus, Dr. Foster and their staff work closely together as a team. With years of experience, they have the specialized training necessary to prevent, diagnose, and treat your dental conditions. They stay current on the latest advances in research and treatment so you know you’ll get the most advanced care available anywhere.

Marc G. Nuger DDS (Updated August 2007)

Dr. Nuger has been practicing family and cosmetic dentistry for over 28 years.  He graduated college in 1975, with a degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.  Then continued his education at the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry and completed his DDS degree in 1979.  After graduating dental school, Dr. Nuger started practicing dentistry in Glen Burnie, Maryland.  In 2002, along with Dr. Sircus, the Columbia office was opened.  For many years Dr. Nuger was the staff dentist for Maryland Manor Nursing Home in Glen Burnie. Today several nursing centers still transport patients to be seen in the Glen Burnie office.

Dr. Nuger works in the Glen Burnie office on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday evenings, Fridays, and every other Saturday morning.  He works in the Columbia office on Wednesday mornings and all day Thursday. 

Dr. Nuger is comfortable providing a wide range of dental services for children, adults, and the elderly.  He is happy to provide services for patients with complicated medical histories and if necessary will discuss the recommended treatment with your physician.  Dr. Nuger is very patient and at ease during your treatment.  He is committed to providing various phases of general dentistry to patients of all ages, with a smile and  warm personality.   Dr. Nuger takes great pride in the number of patients and their families he has continued to treat for over twenty  years.  To him, the long lasting relationships he is able to develop along with providing optimal care to his patients in a warm friendly enviroment, are the most rewarding parts of his dental practice.

Annually, Dr. Nuger attends continuing education courses that enable him to stay at the forefront of general dentistry.  This allows him to offer his patients the finest care and the most current treatment options available.  He enjoys advanced courses in implant dentistry, root canal therapy, oral surgery, cosmetic dentistry, soft tissue lasers, and occlusion (your bite).

Dr. Nuger has been a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Maryland State Dental Association (MSDA), and the Anne Arundel County Dental Society (AACDS) for 28 years.  He has served AACDS as it's president, treasurer, program chairman, peer review chairman, and delegate to the MSDA.

For the past six years, Dr. Nuger has been on the board of trustees for the MSDA.  In September 2007, Dr. Nuger will become the President-elect of the Maryland State Dental Association.  In September 2008, Dr. Nuger will be the President, culminating over 29 years of service to organized dentistry.

Dr. Nuger is dedicated to serving the local community. He routinely provides volunteer dental treatment for the Maryland Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped.  Over 20 years ago, he was the first dentist in the state of Maryland to participate with a patient from this program.  Dr. Nuger also participates with the Anne Arundel County Health Department's dental access program.

Dr. Nuger resides in Ellicott City with his wife and two children.  His daughter is currently in college majoring in Biology.  His son is in middle school and enjoys drums, baseball, and basketball.  Dr. Nuger and his family are Oriole fans, although baseball has not been kind to Baltimore lately.  He enjoys going to baseball games throughout the summer with his family.  Dr. Nuger is an avid tennis player, having played on high school and college tennis teams.  He also enjoys snow skiing and bike riding.  His wife Ann is a dental hygienist and has also worked in the travel industry.  They enjoy spending free time with their family and friends. 

 

Ben A. Sircus DDS (Updated April 2009)

Dr. Sircus has been practicing family and cosmetic dentistry for over nine years.  He graduated college in 1996, with a degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park.  His DDS degree was completed in 2000 at the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry.  Dr. Sircus joined Dr. Nuger in the Glen Burnie office in December, 2000.  He and Dr. Nuger quickly realized their associateship was an excellent match for forming a partnership, and in 2002, they opened a second office in Columbia.

Dr. Sircus works in the Columbia office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and every other Friday.  He is in the office on Tuesdays until 7 PM.  He works in the Glen Burnie office on Monday afternoons, Wednesdays, Thursdays(until 6 PM) and every other Friday.

Dr. Sircus is happy to present the necessary treatment plans for all his patients, children, adults, and the elderly.  These treatment plans are suited to meet each individuals health care needs.  He is meticulous, knowledgeable, and always concerned with your comfort during the dental procedure.  Dr. Sircus has a friendly demeanor and enjoys dentistry. He is careful to pay attention to every detail during treatment.

Dr. Sircus has taken advanced training in Cerec dental porcelain restorations.  These porcelain restorations and crowns can many times be completed in one  appointment.  Dr. Sircus has also taken part in a two year dental implant study club in Annapolis.  The dental implant can be used as single crowns, anchors for bridges, and strong support and retention under dentures.  Dr. Sircus is presently involved with a dental study club in Howard County.  He stays current with his continuing education requirements.  He especially enjoys courses in implants, Cerec porcelain restorations, cosmetic and restorative dentistry.

Dr. Sircus enjoys contributing to our local community and will often travel abroad, to help others throughout the world.  He has been involved in organized dentistry since his graduation from dental school. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Maryland State Dental Association, and the Howard County Dental Association.  He has also served on the New Dentist Committee for the MSDA. This December will be his next trip abroad serving the people of Ecuador.  He will team up with a full medical mission to treat medically unreached tribes for a week, with limited resources and equipment.  Dr. Sircus enjoys the travel and the challenge and takes great pride in being able to provide emergency dental treatment for these people.   Dr. Sircus is also a member of the Maryland Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped, and is happy to donate treatment for these patients as well.

Dr. Sircus resides in Elkridge with his wife and three children.  His wife, Janine, works part time as a dental hygienist in Columbia.  He and his wife are very active in Grace Community Church in Howard County.  Dr. Sircus also enjoys being in an indoor soccer league every weekend.  Together they enjoy spending time with their family and friends.

 

Jennifer Foster DDS (Updated August 2007)

Dr. Foster has been providing dental care to the community for five years and has been an associate dentist in the Columbia office for the past three years.  Dr. Foster graduated college in 1998, with a degree in Biology, from Indiana University.  She has enjoyed transforming smiles since graduating from University of Maryland, School of Dentistry, in 2002.  Dr. Foster then spent a year as a dental resident with additional training at the University of Maryland and at John Hopkins University.  During this program, she was exposed to state of the art dentistry and was able to develop greater expertise in general dentistry.  She works in the Columbia office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Dr. Foster is comfortable providing family dentistry to children, adults, and the elderly alike.  She strives to make her patients aware of their treatment options.  She is always concerned about your comfort during the dental procedures.  Her pleasant personality, is a continuing comment from her patients.  Dr. Foster is committed to providing cutting edge dentistry and personal attention to every patient.

Dr. Foster's thirst for knowledge continued as she became certified in creating Cerec porcelain restorations.  These porcelain restorations and crowns can many times be completed in one appointment.  She is also certified in straightening smiles with Invisalign, a computerized set of clear mouth guards, gradually straitening teeth, and closing spaces.  This option is not for all orthodontic procedures, yet Dr. Foster can inform you if Invisalign is the right treatment for you.  For more complicated cases, an orthodontic referral will be recommended.  Dr. Foster is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, where she is working towards receiving her Fellowship degree.  She has already earned over 400 continuing education credits in topics such as implants, cosmetics, and children's dentistry.
   
This compassion for dentistry and patients has lead her to give back to the community by participating in Special Smiles for Special Olympics.  Dr. Foster is also preparing to go out of the country on a dental mission trip in November 2007.  She will be accompanied by Dr. Sircus to Haiti.  They will be treating underpriveledged communities for a week, with limited resources and equipment.  Despite the difficulties, she is excited to be able to provide some needed dental services for these people.

When she is not treating patients, she is spending time with her three year old son Hudson and her husband of eight years, Tony.  Dr. Foster enjoys reading, traveling, scrapbooking, and running.  She and her husband are very active with Grace Community Church in Howard County.  Dr. Foster and her family are native Hoosiers from Indiana but have made Ellicott City their home.
